Prayers for Oklahoma

I had planned a few blog post for early this week but after the devastation that has occurred in Oklahoma I have decided instead on just sending much needed prayers for all those affected. Our thoughts are with you at this time. May your hearts be healed as you put your lives back together.

Not to long ago I received some "happy Mail" from one of my blogger friends, and all I can say is "Annette" you are awesome and I love all of it, everything you mailed me is a treasure and I will be having lots of fun creating with it!  Thank you, thank you so much! So here are all the goodies for you to enjoy and I will say the last but not least is most special to me as it is a sweet square of Crazy Quilting that I will be able to incorporate into one of my fabric journals!

Fun Find Vintage Steamer Trunk

Wow I'm finally well and able to blog a bit as the last 2 weeks have been rough with having the flu go through our household. I see I'm missing a few bloggers but that happens when life gets in the way and you can't keep up, just can't win them all and the tried and trues are always here, what I call real cyber friends!
Today I'm linking up with my latest find to Etsy Vintage Style Blog Party even though I'm a day late.
I found this wonderful steamer trunk in beautiful condition at a yard sale about a month or more ago and finally had a chance to take a pic. Now I know many would shabby paint it all up but I 'm keeping it in its original condition especially since I had use for it right away. Yep the drawers are full already and it stands behind my couch in the family room I did have to do a bit of re-arranging of misc furniture but it all worked out. The best part is the is beautiful steamer trunk came complete with all the wooden hangers which are put away for safe keeping and was a mere $40 which is a real deal if you like this sort of thing. I would love to put a few shelves  or at least one of the left side but haven't figured that part out yet.

In The Mood For Gardening

Looking forward to more warm weather and fixing pretties on the porch, what are your warm weather
plans? This is a pic of my Staghorn  fern on my front porch and a few roses from the backyard. I think the front yard is in some need of color, don't you? Time to garden between other projects! A Journey Of Journals

Happy weekend my fellow blogging friends, I can't believe that is has been a month since I have put together a post for this blog of mine. I have just been really busy and I do find it hard to manage two blogs, so that being said I guess until I decide which one to keep or keep plugging away on both this is is the best I can do. My other blog is for all creative endeavors and this blog for more shabby cottage  and vintage style creations. So depending what your interested in you may want to check one or the other to see what you prefer.  I think now I must be the queen of journals as I have about four in the works including the on going one of my sweet dear Mom.
