VICTORIAN/ VINTAGE HOLIDAY ORNAMENT OOAK

Today I listed my latest creation just posted  on ebay, the largest and most intricate piece I have created. This is an Emu Egg with a Victorian design of paper filigree and Vintage jewelry. Each piece of paper is hand cut and twisted and shaped one at a time, then placed on individually by special tweezers after being dipped in a matte art glue, upon drying the the back round is created and then vintage leaves are hand cut from larger leaves, edged in german glass glitter. Upon drying the poinsettias are brushed with glue and hand glittered. Then after drying the back round is brushed with matte glue and more german glass glitter is applied. A piece of vintage tinsel is added to the top and inserted in a hole and glued in place. The bottom has a vintage teardrop pearl added and the poinsettias have clustered centers of tiny vintage pearls. Each one of my ornaments have a vintage/victorian flare with vintage jewelry added. They are OOAK and come hand signed in its own gift box. It requires approximately a week to finish each ornament. This art is generally called quilling which is the Art of paper filigree, to me this is quilling at its Best! Only one of these Emu Eggs Victorian style will be created this year.

HAPPY PINK SATURDAY and 100th FOLLOWER GIVEAWAY

Happy Pink Saturday everyone! Today I reveal my 100th Follower Giveaway gift, which is this little mischievous Reindeer below my Pink Paper Filigree Goose egg that I recently created! Many hours goes into this piece and it will be listed on ebay  or my Etsy as it is a "one of a kind" and I don't know that I will get another one created  this holiday season but you never know, maybe?? If so it will be different  as I only like to create OOAK pieces. Don't forget to visit Beverly at How Sweet the Sound to visit other participants and visit at least one blog you haven't visited before! Now go have some Pinky Fun!!

Yep, this is the Giveaway for the lucky winner, a Santa on a stand, and one of my recent Reindeer that matched so well that Santa wouldn't go without her and a bling wreath ornament that will grace his tree! The Santa has had a makeover and had some vintage tinsel and german glass glitter added to him as well as a vintage earring to his hat. Now "Ruby the Reindeer" couldn't be out done and had to have some matching bling so the other vintage earring was added to her collar in the center. JOINING the "VINTAGE NEST" GIVE THANKS PARTY

Giving Thanks for a wonderful group of bloggers I have found in this blog journey of mine. Last year at this time I didn't even know something like this existed. I have met so many wonderful people that are willing to share of their talents and time for others, I am truly grateful. I would like to thank Karen the "The Graphics Fairy" for sharing all her wonderful graphics for us to display on our blogs and my blog designer Karen of "Valentine Design" who is responsible for this beautiful blog of mine, including my Holiday look that Karen just popped in and creatively added  a few holiday touches as she knew I was dreaming of a holiday blog. That gal is a treasure in the blog world. Another big thank you to the ""The Vintage Nest" for hosting this party and Beverly of "How Sweet the Sound" for our regular Pink Saturday blog. Thank You all for making our lives more interesting and delightful! Don't forget to stop by my blog on Pink Saturday tomorrow as it is my 100th Post and I'm having a Giveaway for all my followers, hopefully I will have 100 followers by time it ends then and will be giving away two items instead of one to celebrate both and it will end on December 10th. Happy Thanksgiving!

HAPPY PINK SATURDAY

Happy Pink Saturday everyone! I would like to thank Beverly from How Sweet the Sound for hosting this party every Saturday. Today I have a little preview of the ornaments  that I have been working on  and  I was so pleased with them  that I thought I would share. I have more to finish but I thought I would give a little preview. They look so much better on a tree than this little reindeer that I found on clearance at Michael's last week but I needed something to hang them on temporarily. They are created with crepe paper, german glass glitter, and vintage jewelry and everyone will be different.  Fun to create and fun to give as a gift or package tie on. I have other items I'm creating so check back for more fun. Don't you love this little reindeer I found? I sure do!  Now go visit all the other Pink Saturday ladies as I'm sure they all have fun things to share!

VINTAGE BLACK FRIDAY "Cookin on the Mc Coy"

Jumping over to The French Cupboard to join in Vintage Black Friday, won't you join me? The little stove is  a Mc Coy cookie jar and next to it we have a vintage nut grinder. Just perfect with the upcoming holiday of Thanksgiving, we need the vintage pot holder to pour a cup of  honey lemon tea after whipping up that batch of pumpkin pies sprinkled with a nut crunch topping that we made with our nut grinder and baked on the Mc Coy stove!

EXCITING NEWS "JOIN THE HIVE"

I have exciting news to share, this morning I received an email that my "SWEET" and "A SPOOKTACULAR HALLOWEEN SHOW" from my Pink Saturday post was featured on "THE HIVE", which is a  community designed to connect like minded people in the Arts, Crafts & Hobby industry to other creative like minded souls. It is a fairly new group and if you click on the link located in my sidebar it will take you to "The Hive" and you can join too. I didn't receive as many comments as usual this Saturday so I figured that either everyone was busy with Halloween or it was too Scary for some of you. For me this reconigition is great as I haven't posted much in the way of creations as I'm really busy trying to connect with others and get more savey on the computer and improve my skills in all those areas. You will see more creations as time goes on but this is the way I chose to get started as it was the skill I was lacking as creating in general comes easy for me as I have been making something creative all my life. I'm a self taught artist but I plan on taking a few classes online in other areas that I haven't tried yet. I love doing something new and love OOAK pieces. Now all you creative souls go join The Hive, just click on this link and A big Thank You to "The Hive", it is appreciated!
