WELCOME TO PINK SATURDAYS

Worlds Fair Chicago Tea Towel purchased at a yard sale 40 years ago for 50 cents, what a deal, this beauty hangs in my bath room as a guest towel and everyone knows it is for eye candy only!1933 Worlds Fair

This sweet lady is a porcelain pin cushion from my vintage pin cushion collection and she is surrounded by pink lovlies of pink and cream pearls from my 20's and graced by my Harmony Kingdom roses of deep pink and rose pink.

Sweet pink mini wire dress form holds a tube for water and rose bud, empty now usually holds my embroidery scissors. It stands about 8 inches tall.

Welcome to Pink Saturday and my first "Pink Post", last but not least is a small crocheted dress from a collection of pot holders but stands in my bathroom on top of a bottle of hand lotion. Too Pinky Cute!  I would like to  thank Beverly for hosting Pink Saturdays and allowing me to join the group of Pinky Gals, I'm sure I'll have lots of fun posting pic's and making new friends! Don't forget to visit Beverly's  Pink Saturdays at this link to visit all the pink party gals!           http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/pink-saturday/

TIPS FOR TUESDAY

Coffee Cubes.... Love your ice coffee or favorite Starbucks iced, make your own and save $$. No need to waste one drop of coffee if you have some left over in the morning, simply purchase an old ice-cube tray or find one in the Goodwill, Dollar Store or 99cents store and take that remaining coffee from the morning, pour it into the tray, slip it into the freezer and when you are ready for that iced coffee or latte, make your own as now you are ready, Easy-peasy!

TIPS FOR TUESDAY "CLASS REUNIONS" MORE PHOTOS

The gal Dawn top photo left side is the gal I worked with years ago also in 8th Grade together! If you look close you can see our name tags that have our yearbook photo on it and what we looked like then. When we all first arrived at the reunion we all went around looking at name tags to see who was who, I recognized Dawn and Rita, right away, the others not so fast! Lol

TIPS FOR TUESDAY "CLASS REUNIONS"

I went to my 50th Year Class reunion this weekend and had a great time, anyone who gets the chance to,  I highly recommend this! I have been trying to post photos all day for this, and finally found away around the issue by loading to my desk top. The one on the back left  is me and the other 3 gals I have known since we were all in 8th Grade! Who would believe it! The gal, Rita in the center was the hostess at our guestbook when my Husband and I were married 49 years ago and the gal in the black and white, Carol was one of the bridesmaids in our wedding. I haven't seen her since! That was forty nine years (49) ago. I still can't believe it as I didn't think I would ever see her again. The gal Rita I worked with after we were married for a few years in the early 1960's and she was at the 20th Reunion and that was the last one I attended and the last time I saw her. Pat the other gal I saw her about 28 years ago. We all lost contact with each other but once we were reunited it was like when we were all young together again, no one has really changed, just gotten older or should I say we are all still Young at Heart! We had a real good time catching up! So my Tip for Tuesday is get out there and go to that reunion if you can, it was amazing!

FUN FRIDAYS

Fun Friday has been busy running around getting ready to go to my 50th Year class reunion. I first I wasn't going to go but since it is in driving distance and I really need some time out of the house socializing, I decided to go for it! Part of me thinks darn I should have stayed on that diet I started last February and the rest of me says Oh well, not a good enough reason to stay home! Umm?? Now I have something decent to wear and ready to get all polished up, what they see is what they will get! After 50 yrs can't imagine anyone is going to recognize anyone else either unless they have kept in touch, so off I'll go on a big adventure and I'm sure to have fun. Until next week, have a great weekend!

TIPS for TUESDAY

Coca-cola cure for rust... Forget those expensive rust removers. Just saturate an abrasive sponge with Coca-cola and scrub stain. The phosphoric acid in the Coca-cola is what gets the job done! However if you have a vintage find then you will  probably want to keep the rust!

FUN FRIDAYS Better Late Than Not!!

It has been a busy week  and so today I took a little time out and visited a couple of the local Goodwill's to see if I could make any great discoveries  and I did!! A nice suitcase from the 1960's and I remember that for sure as I owned one similar, this treasure was in great shape as the inside is beautiful, mint, with not a spot in it. I has one small ding on the outside and for the age I figured it wasn't bad. Now I can bring in the rest of my lace from the plastic storage that is in the garage and give it a better and handier home for sure in my recently cleaned up sewing room.  This suitcase still has the keys hanging on it and the latches work perfectly. A mere $5.00, these little treasures are getting hard to find in great condition. How's that for a Fun Friday, was fun for me! Have a Happy 4th all you bloggers in Blogland, stay safe!
