HAPPY PINK SATURDAYS PINKY PEEPS!

Happy Pink Saturday to all of you Pinky Peeps! This has been a really busy week! I Hope you all had a great week and are trying to stay cool. I was searching through some stuff and came across the beautiful little baby dress and it is Pink so I had to share. This sweet little dress came from the lady across the street and was her daughters when she was a baby  dating back to the 1950's. The reason she gave it to me as  she had saved it for years and she is getting quite elderly now and wanted it to have a good home. (she lost her daughter to a drunk driver many years ago). It buttons on both shoulders for easy dressing and has sweet embroidery on the bodice. The sweet wooden hanger was my brothers when he was a  baby and Mom gave it to me with one of my baby dresses hanging on it, umm I need to find which trunk that is in?? Another search for another day I'm afraid. Now the table that you see the dress on is my great find at the Goodwill this week for $34.00, It has a leaf and is very solid (oak) in great condition. Why am I telling you this?? Well it is going in my studio/family room for my art workshop and I'm looking forward to a major re-do in that room, more organized with more space.  Waiting until the weather cools off to paint. Now I have filled you all in for the week, if you love Pink or just love to find new blogs to visit go over to see Beverly at How Sweet the Sound to have some more bloggy fun!

Hi Marilou! That little pink dress is precious. My mom gave me a few of my baby clothes last year and I just cherish them. I'm so sorry for your neighbor having lost her daughter to a drunk driver, my heart goes out to her...even though it was some time back, it's still very sad.
I hope your doing well :o) it's been busy around here and I have been a bad blogger, there never seems enough time in a day to visit everyone :0( But I try to catch up when I can. Have a fantastic weekend! hugs, Jennifer

I agree! Where's a better pic of that table! Love that dress. All our baby dresses had wee buttons on the shoulders in the '40s. Had not seen a pink one tho.

Happy PS weekend.

What a lovely story, and a beautiful dress! How sweet of her to give it to you! Awesome!!
As for my chair, I do keep it in my bedroom now. I had it in my bathroom in my other home. My bathroom there was HUGE. Pleanty of room for the chair!!
But, now we are at a better house for family, not so much for me!! LoL!!! Small master bath and tiny closet!!
But, it will fit in my room nicely. But I changed my colors to browns, and some black accents. I wanted a beige slip cover!!!! I thought for sure someone in the blog world could make me one!!!
I will put a blanket on it and let Kitty sit on it again!!LOL!!!
HPS!

Hi Marilou Sweetie...
What a gorgeous share. I simply adore this beautiful little dress given to you with SO much love. How gorgeous it is. I love that this beautiful soul entrusted you with one of her most prized possessions to cherish and love it as much as she did.

Now where is a picture of that gorgeous table that you found for 35.00? I can't wait to see that all set up in your creation room.

Have a gorgeous weekend sweet friend. Many hugs and much love from Phoenix, Sherry

A lovely little dress....
That is so sad, about your neighbor's daughter.....so tragic. It is a shame that there are others in this world who are so selfish, so self centered, that they will drink till they are drunk and then get into a car and drive.
I need to give my craft room a good going over too. I pray we get some cooler weather so we both can work on our craft rooms.
:-)
Have a pinkishly beautiful day

Hi Marilou,

I can't wait to see how you re-arrange your room. I've always liked moving stuff around. You never know what the best arrangement is unless you start moving it, right? That little dress is precious and I love the hanger. What a deal on the oak table. I finally got my pink post up today {just a tad late!} Thank goodness Beverly leaves the linky open for us that are running behind.

Pink Sparkles for your week,
Stephanie Suzanne ♥
