Welcome to My Porch!! Sit Down and Rock Awhile and Enjoy the Shade Well.....Maybe Next Time It's Raining Now!!

Welcome to my Porch, I would love to have you come for a visit and chat about how you like to spend time on your porch. Read a good book, enjoy some  hot morning coffee, spend an afternoon visiting over a pitcher of lemonade or iced tea. Maybe you want to chat about your latest creative idea or creation. How about browsing through Somerset magazines,  Cloth, Paper and Scissors or the latest issue of Prims. How about your latest find or treasure? I found this great rocker last year at the Goodwill for $20, almost new, very sturdy, comfy but it was a  blonde wood color and it just needed a little sanding, a shabby coat of white paint. I thought it was a steal after pricing them at Target and various other places. It will weather nice and vintage as time goes on. I recently dug out this old quilt and thought it would make a great throw and some covered cushions for Spring. Speaking of Spring, well yesterday it was beautiful here and today it is raining.  Not Spring yet! Now the quilt is folded up ready to put away until it hits the sewing machine and returns in cushions and throws. The little rocker needs some cushions too while I'm thinking about. Oh, don't forget to come back for another visit as this is just the Corner Nook of my front Porch, we have plenty more porch conversations to cover  and more porch views. How about we go visit some more porches with Jill's our host from Gypsy Brocante Thanks Jill for hosting the Porch Club. Great idea!

Hi Marilou,

I love the corner nook of your porch...that plant that I see is absolutely fabulous. I love the color of your home. The rocker and the greenery set such a cozy atmosphere. I could sit there all day visiting with you. I'll bring ALL of my stampington magazines too. :0)

I'm visiting for Porch Club Monday...I believe these porch gatherings will be so much fun. I'd love to have you drop by my porch when you have a moment!

Hugs,
Stephanie ♥

Hi Marilou!
Your porch looks so inviting - the perfect place to sit and enjoy coffee in the morning! I would bring gardening magazines to read for inspiration and dream of new ideas for the yard as Spring is right around the corner.
Looking forward to seeing more pictures!!!
Blessings and Hugs,

Hi Marilou...

Ohhh my...your porch is soooo lovely, my friend! Today, I am seeing snow and temps below zero at my place. I would love to be out on your beautiful porch...sharing that cup of coffee or glass of iced tea with you! Hehe! Seriously though...I could spend some time out on your beautiful porch! You have decorated it sooo pretty! I love your rocking chair...what a treasure find at just $20! You know, I have the exact same rocker. It's upstairs and has a really dark wood finish...I would love to paint it white like yours! Hmmm...another project for another day! I also really liked your pretty blue toile quilt...it just looks sooo at home on that rocker, sweet friend! Thank you for sharing your beautiful porch with us...it's like a breath of fresh air to me!!!

I also wanted to thank you for stopping by my place yesterday! I really enjoyed your visit and sweet note, dear lady! You were asking about cloches? Ohh yes...you have to get one! Hehe! I only have four but there is one in particular that I use the most. It was a gift from my dear friend Gloria over at Happy To Be blog. The cloche stands about 12" tall and is 6 or 7 inches wide at the bottom of the cloche. It works perfectly to display two or three teacups under it! Ohhh...and I do love how a pretty teacup looks under glass! They really are so versatile! I have displayed everything from a bouquet of fresh flowers to a pretty trinket underneath a cloche. I wish you the best in finding just the right one for you! Hmmm...or maybe you should get two...or three? Hehe!

Warmest winter wishes,
Chari @Happy To Design

PS...if and when you get a cloche and take a few photos...let me know! I would love to see it!

Hi again Marilu... thanks so much for stopping back by my porch once more... glad you liked my little saying on my sidebar, it's my favorite!... I am sixty one years young (because I will always be young at heart) and get so tired of hearing people talk about anyone over, gosh even 30 these days, as being old!... I will never call anyone old... age is a state of mind, not a number of years... you look young and beautiful and I know you are young at heart as well!... sending happy thoughts your way... xoxo Julie Marie
